Still life drawings and paintings are a favorite. They are eminently framable and always appreciated by parents and grand parents. You will see further examples in the future.

This drawing was made in several steps on heavy drawing paper with construction paper and oil pastels :

• I draw a horizon line and light pencil lines to indicate where the stems should be so that they end up in the vase.
• The artist draws flowers with stems and leaves. Suggestions for basic easy flower shapes can be found in the garden section of DRAW!
• A symmetrical vase is cut out of folded paper.
• The vase is pasted over the stems at the bottom of the page.
• Finally the vase is decorated.
• Frame at will.
