Story board cards are 5x7 index cards with a piece of magnet tape on the back. The tape is added when the teacher and the student are satisfied with the way the card looks. The board can be made on a wall by painting the wall with metal paint, then if you wish you can paint a color over. The first cards which represent everyday things such as a house, dog, cat, sun, rain, boy, girl etc. They are drawn in black marker with no help from the teacher.  

 first phase: drawings by children in black marker/no words until requested

second phase: drawings by children (see DRAW!) words written by teacher/uppercase letters - one card/one word

last phase:  drawings by children (see DRAW!) words written by children/uppercase letters                    back
